Nixon Hire is a trading name of John Nixon Ltd and was founded in 1967. Today the company is one of the leading privately owned hirers of Plant & Site Equipment in the United Kingdom. The Nixon family control all the shares in the business with seven family members taking an active day to day role in the company. Apart from a 5 acre Head Office site at Newcastle upon Tyne, the company has depots throughout Northern England and Scotland.

Constant Fleet Investment

Our constant fleet investment programme ensures that we operate one of the youngest hire fleets in the United Kingdom today. Being distributors for only leading brands of equipment ensures that we not only obtain plant at the most competitive terms, but also benefits our service in the respect that we stock new machines which can be added to the hire fleet at a moments notice. We also hold spare parts up to the value of £0.5 Million so that machine downtimes are kept to an absolute minimum in the event that parts are required.
