Nixon Hire Direct comprises our key hire services all from one location. It exists to provide our customers with the best service possible. By housing all of our key teams together we can communicate and co-ordinate with customers in an efficient and effective manner.

Our teams are made up of experienced members of staff who know our customers and our products better than anyone and are experts in their field – whether that be dealing with hire enquiries, arranging transport or dealing with service requests.

Having all of these teams under one roof allows for fantastic communication between CSO and our Depots, which results in quicker response times for our customers and allows us to be able to move equipment easily from region to region to fulfil all hires with ease.

Centralised Hire Desk

Our hire desk comprises of three dedicated teams covering different geographical
areas; Scotland, England North and England South.

These teams are the key point of contact for any hire enquiry for a customer in that region. We also have a Managed Accounts team which offers a bespoke managed service for large national customers who require one point of contact, from initial enquiry to complete fulfilment of order.

Having one Centralised Hire Desk means that we are able to manage the hire and off hire process as efficiently as possible and allows each Depot to concentrate on the quality of the equipment we hire.

Our Logistics Team is responsible for ensuring deliveries and collections are carried out as efficiently as possible to allow Depots to concentrate on fulfilling the hire, ensuring that every piece of equipment sent to customers is of the highest quality. 

We employ skilled and experienced logistics planners and use market leading route planning software to ensure that vehicle loads and transport routes are optimised.

Toilet servicing also forms part of this team and using tailored cutting edge technology, our planners are able to track our toilet service vehicles in real-time so that we know exactly where they are at any time and make sure that all toilet deliveries, collections and services are carried out on time and to schedule. We can even send you an SMS to keep you updated too! Live reporting also means that we can internally monitor our performance and react quickly to any logistics issues as and when they arise.

Hire Support

Central Service Functions
Once a hire has been agreed, and a contract has been raised, Hire Support take over to ensure that the information on the contract is all present and correct so that once invoices are raised they can be passed for payment and queries are kept to a minimum - we know how annoying invoices queries can be! 


In the hire industry it is common for damage to occur on equipment. Our Service Team is responsible for ensuring that customer damages are resolved as quickly as possible to ensure minimal disruption to our customers and their projects. We operate a fully transparent process to ensure the process is fair for all parties.
